China’s pre-sales market for plug-in hybrid pickups just got louder.

Jetour has officially opened the books on the Zongheng F70. The Player One trim—marketed as “Touhao Wanjia” for the five-seat variant—commands 364,90 yuan upfront. That is roughly 53,874 in cold hard cash, if you believe the exchange rates of today. Y-Auto reports the figure. But here is the catch: this is pre-sale.

No final launch price. No delivery dates. Just a placeholder in the digital wallet.

It is a risky game. Carmakers love locking in early interest while keeping their powder dry. The F70 is sitting in that limbo right now. You want to know if it actually drives? Wait for the reviews. You want to know the exact spec sheet? It’s mostly there, but some details remain buried.

The Price Tag and The Sweeteners

Thirty-six thousand dollars isn’t pocket change. So why buy it now? Jetour is throwing snacks at the door to keep you interested.

If you commit during this window, they slap on a custom roller shutter cover. Free. Worth 5,999 yuan on its own. Want the truck to look less like a utility beast and more like a fashion statement? They will let you paint it Kunlun Grey for half price. That is a 4,000 yuan deal on what would normally cost 8,000.

There is a charging pile at your home. Included. Basic installation? Covered. And the warranty? Lifetime coverage for the first non-commercial owner. That last one matters. These things break. Or they don’t. Jetour is betting they don’t.

Powertrain: Kunpeng Meets CATL

Under the metal skin sits Chery’s Kunpeng Super Hybrid system. Specifically, the CDM-O configuration. It is a plug-in hybrid. Big deal. Everyone has one now.

But the numbers are… aggressive.

A 2.0-liter dedicated hybrid engine pushes out 155 kW. Torque sits at 340 Nm. Thermal efficiency claims hit 45.5 percent. That is high. Very high. Whether that translates to real-world efficiency is another question entirely.

Jetour claims a comprehensive range of 1,30 kilometers under CLTC standards. CLTC is not EPA. Do not compare these numbers to what your Ford F-150 Powertrain says. It is manufacturer data. Unverified. Optimistic, at best.

The battery comes from CATL. 4C technology. Double-layer lithium iron phosphate (LFP). It uses an 800-volt architecture. This means fast charging. Ten minutes from twenty to eighty percent. That is the headline number. Ten minutes.

If that holds up in the real world—cold weather, hot weather, degraded cells—the game changes. If it is a lab trick, you are buying a brick that looks like a truck.

Size Matters (And So Does The Suspension)

The F70 is not a compact crossover pretending to be tough.

Length: 5,49 mm. Width: 2,0 mm. Height: 1,95 mm. Wheelbase: 3,50 mm.

It is long. Wide. Tall.

The chassis relies on a high-strength integrated frame. Up front, you get double-wishbone independent suspension. Rear suspension details are lighter in the current press kit, but the frame is solid. High-strength steel doesn’t lie. Not until it bends.

The exterior mimics the Zongheng G7S SUV. Front-end styling matches. Semi-floating roof. Mechanical door handles—yes, manual pull. No digital buttons to fail. Black tailgate panel. Anchor points in the bed for actual work.

There are steps. A two-tier rear bumper step. A side step behind the rear wheel. Practical? Maybe. Bulky? Probably.

Cargo volume? Undisclosed. Payload? Between 18 and 223 kg depending on the specific build. No single number for the whole line. That lack of clarity is annoying. If you plan to haul gravel, do the math yourself.

Tech Inside The Cabin

Forget rugged. This is a living room with wheels.

Dual screens. Linkage. A 15.6-inch floating display for the central info. A 35.4-inch continuous dash. Zongheng OS runs the show. It is interactive. It is likely touchscreen-heavy. It probably has a voice assistant that misunderstands your accent.

Jetour tested prototypes in December 2025. Fast forward to now, pre-sale open. The timeline is compressed. Aggressive.

Why The Wait?

We are stuck in pre-sale purgatory.

The F70 is real. The specs are listed. The price is set for one trim. But the full lineup? Unknown. The delivery schedule? Blank.

Is the 10-minute charge a reality or a marketing gloss? Is the 1,300 km range achievable in mixed driving or just a drag-test on a flat track?

Jetour is betting that the aesthetics and the tech will outweigh the uncertainty. The “Player One” name suggests it wants to be cool. The hybrid system suggests it wants to be efficient. The massive dimensions suggest it wants to be dominant.

Which is it?

We will see when the units hit the roads. Until then, the 364, yuan is just a number. A hopeful number.

The truck is ready. The market is waiting. Let’s see if
