How to Reduce Exposure

Summer requires a different approach. Keep windows cracked slightly. Use UV-resistant sun shields. Block sunlight from hitting plastics and upholstery. Heat accelerates offgassing. Blocking UV rays slows the reaction.

Air conditioning adds a wrinkle to the equation. Leave windows down for a few minutes before starting the AC. It is uncomfortable. It is not ideal. But it allows gas to escape before the system sucks it in. Once inside the cabin, the AC recirculates those fumes. Breathing them in repeatedly is not smart.
