Voyah, the premium new energy vehicle brand backed by Dongfeng Motor, has officially launched its flagship SUV, the Taishan. Priced between 379,900 and 509,900 yuan (approximately $53,200 to $71,400 USD), the Taishan enters a competitive segment challenging established models like the Aito M9, Denza N9, and Zeekr 9X. The high-end Black Warrior Edition is slated for delivery in early 2026.

Cutting-Edge Technology and Premium Features

The Voyah Taishan distinguishes itself through integration with Huawei’s latest technologies. It features the newest HarmonyOS cockpit with an advanced voice large model, Huawei’s ADS Ultra intelligent assisted driving system (utilizing four LiDAR sensors), AI Cloud Comfort Seats, a high-fidelity 32-speaker sound system, and a sophisticated three-chamber air suspension. Voyah also announced the upcoming market release of the Voyah Passion L in December.

Design and Dimensions

The Taishan embodies Voyah’s design language, prominently displaying a large, waterfall-style shield grille integrated with an illuminated Voyah logo and a full-width LED light strip. Split headlights are positioned within the side air intakes. The vehicle measures 5230mm in length, 2025mm in width, and 1817mm in height, with a 3120mm wheelbase. Exterior details include semi-hidden door handles, uniquely styled wheels, and streamlined star door handles. The rear features a full-width taillight cluster, the Voyah emblem, and a roof spoiler.

Interior Luxury and Comfort

Inside, the Taishan’s cabin is designed around the concept of “Mountains and Seas,” featuring a large floating central control screen running the HarmonyOS cockpit. The AI Cloud Comfort Seats and the 32-speaker “Tianlai” panoramic sound system (with a 9.1.5.8 channel setup and 2300W amplifier power) provide a premium experience.

Powertrain and Range

The Taishan is powered by a plug-in hybrid system (Voyah Smart Super Hybrid) combining a 1.5T engine with dual electric motors for all-wheel drive. The engine produces 110 kilowatts. It features a 65 kWh ternary lithium battery pack from CATL, delivering a CLTC pure electric range of 370km and a combined CLTC range of 1400km. The vehicle supports an 800V high-voltage platform with 5C ultra-fast charging, allowing a 20% to 80% charge in just 12 minutes.

Advanced Suspension and Steering

The Taishan is the first model to incorporate a three-chamber air suspension system with EDC (Electronic Damper Control) and 16° bidirectional independent rear-wheel steering. The vehicle is configured with a six-seat layout, targeting the premium large SUV market segment.

The Voyah Taishan represents a significant step forward in hybrid SUV technology, blending luxury, performance, and cutting-edge features. The integration of Huawei’s software and hardware positions the Taishan as a strong contender in the competitive Chinese EV market
