Lexus Refines $100K Luxury Minivan with Subtle Upgrades for 2026

Lexus continues to refine its ultra-luxury minivan, the LM, with a series of incremental updates for the 2026 model year. The move demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement over the traditional automotive refresh cycle, focusing on enhancing the premium experience in detail.

Interior Refinements

The latest changes primarily target passenger comfort and convenience. For the high-end four-seat Executive trim, puddle lights have been added to illuminate the ground when the sliding doors open – a small but noticeable touch of luxury.

Inside, the rear refrigerator now features redesigned bottle holders. Flexible, wave-shaped dividers secure bottles of varying sizes, reducing noise and movement during travel. Lexus has also upgraded the rear console’s USB-C ports to deliver a combined 60W of power —enough to charge smartphones or power a laptop on the go.

Noise Reduction and Performance

Lexus further isolated the cabin from external noise with an updated tire tread pattern for both Executive and Version L trims. This builds on previous enhancements like vibration-damping and sound-absorbing materials.

The LM 500h retains its powertrain: a turbocharged 2.4-liter engine paired with two electric motors, delivering 366 hp through a six-speed automatic transmission with standard all-wheel drive.

Pricing and Availability

The 2026 Lexus LM500h is currently available in Japan, starting at ¥15,200,000 ($95,700) for the six-seat Version L and ¥20,300,000 ($127,800) for the flagship four-seat Executive. Prices have increased slightly from previous models, reflecting the added features and continued exclusivity.

The Future of Lexus Luxury

Lexus may soon face competition from within its own lineup. The brand previewed a radical shift in its luxury strategy with the LS Concept in late 2025, which suggests a potential move toward an ultra-luxury six-wheeled van. For now, the LM remains at the pinnacle of Japanese minivan extravagance.
