Geely has unveiled detailed specifications for its upcoming plug-in hybrid sedan, the Galaxy Starshine 7. The information follows China’s recent announcement of vehicle tax incentives for eligible new energy vehicles, revealing the Starshine 7 will boast an impressive electric range thanks to two lithium-iron-phosphate battery options.
The larger 28.3 kWh battery promises a significant driving range on pure electric power, up to 165 km (around 103 miles), making it an appealing option for urban commutes and shorter trips. For those who prioritize practicality over extended EV range, a smaller 18.99 kWh battery will be available, offering 115-120 km (71-75 miles) of electric driving capability. These impressive figures place the Starshine 7 firmly in contention with other plug-in hybrids vying for attention in the Chinese market.
Set to debut later this year in China, the Starshine 7 carries forward the distinctive design language established by its predecessors within the Geely Galaxy Starshine series. Its nearly five-meter long body (4,958 mm) is complemented by a wheelbase of 2,852 mm, hinting at comfortable interior space. The sedan’s dimensions are completed by a width of 1,915 mm and a height of 1,505 mm. Its curb weight varies depending on the chosen battery configuration, clocking in at either 1,815 kg or 1,860 kg.

Visually, the Starshine 7 makes a strong impression with its prominent front fascia. A large trapezoidal grille dominates the front end, accented by vertical waterfall-style chrome strips and flanked by striking polygonal multi-source LED headlights.
